Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Has Seen Your Season 2 Predictions — And She Has Good News

The highly-awaited Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel arrives on Prime Video soon, and fan speculation has been rampant.

Season 1 introduces a large cast of personalities living within the afterlife, sets them at odds with songs detailing their conflicts, and builds heated competitions and emotional bonds that drive audience devotion.

The fandom's stated hopes for season 2 differ greatly, but certain threads recur frequently: Will Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Might we learn more about the binding agreement constraining the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Obviously, I don't make the show with fan service specifically in mind," the showrunner commented earlier this year. "However I believe that me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just naturally. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She says her big-picture plan is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have already been green-lit by the production companies, which finance the series.

That could imply fans have to be patient for some of the major resolutions — but they may be surprised at how quickly season 2 moves, and how much of what they're waiting for unfolds this season.

"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some incredible disclosures, some fascinating origin tales, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

She's certainly aware of the guesses and hopes about the upcoming season — particularly in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a couple people make a prediction grid about the new season," she mentions. "Obviously I won't share it, but I've actually done some of them, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on the streaming service on October 29.
